"LAVISHING GOD'S LOVE ON OTHERS AND LIVING OUR FAITH OUT LOUD" ROMANS 1:14-17; 1 JOHN 3:1
OUR FAITH IS TAKING US HIGHER
DEVELOPING GODLY PEOPLE, DEDICATED TO A LIFE OF SERVICE
Glorifying God through Devoted Living, Generous Giving, and Great Praise
After Jesus said this, he looked
toward heaven and prayed:
“Father, the hour has come.
Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.
Praise God with the very highest praise and thanksgiving for His many blessings in the life of St. John Baptist Church. Over the history of our church, God has continued to work for our good (Romans 8:28). Even with the anxiety over the Corona Virus it’s still an exciting time in the life of the church. The Corona Virus reminds us all of how much we need God in His world. God is working mightily in our midst. Last year, we went over one thousand members on the church roll.
In 2006, St. John Baptist Church relocated from 119 West Olmos Dr. to our current location and we are privileged by God to see the outpouring of the Holy Spirit’s power and presence.
God is blessing and as a body of believers we are being blessed to be a blessing to others. In 2019, we partnered with Leon Valley Elementary School to open a food pantry to include clothing for young children, and donated other support items for the teachers. Our Food Drive Ministry again fed over 5000 people last year. I can go on about some other areas, but space does not permit me.
God is still true to His Word when he says, “God makes all things work together for our good.” As I say often times in spite of me God is blessing and God is blessings you in spite of your shortcomings. I hope we, as a church purpose in our hearts to devote ourselves to God and His Church more and more. The world and our families need the infinite presences, love, grace, mercy, and peace of God more than ever. God is still able and willing to take us as a people to greater heights in His Name as a church. The question is are willing to trust and obey God faithfully as a corporate body.
As always thanks to our church leadership and church family for trusting God and His Preacher. I’m so grateful and humbled by the call and privilege to serve in God’s Kingdom.
