UPDATE FROM THE PASTOR
We have lived under shelter-in-place conditions for more than six weeks and are still in the midst of the corona virus pandemic (COVID-19). Though we still don’t have a handle on the virus and are yet looking for a vaccine, our God continues to bestow His Grace and Mercy upon us! Even in this season, I believe the Lord our God would have us to stand still and see the salvation of our God!
Let me encourage you to continue to practice your faith and try to recognize our God’s presence in this moment. We’re still worshiping and serving the Lord knowing He will keep us in perfect peace. You may join us on Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. for live streaming on Facebook and again at 11 a.m. on YouTube. On Wednesdays, we are live streaming Bible Study at 7:00 p.m., on Facebook Live.
In Everything Pray
Please feel free to call our church office to leave your prayer requests. The church is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Generous Giving
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38 NIV
On last Tuesday, St. John donated $5000 to the San Antonio Food Bank to support families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The corona virus pandemic has impacted families across socioeconomic, race, and educational lines. A few weeks ago, some 20,000 people showed up
at a food drive at the Alamodome. Because of your continuous financial support, we were able to provide for families in need of food.

Returning to Church
I have missed seeing your faces on Sundays and Wednesday evenings during Bible Study over these weeks. I’m hoping we can return to church soon but we must first make sure it’s safe for everyone. On Friday, Governor Greg Abbott will begin opening some businesses to allow some sense of normalcy. Due to social distancing, we’ll not be able to worship with the same seating arrangement we had prior to the pandemic, but that’s okay.
My brothers and sisters, I look forward to again assembling in corporate worship! Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns and I’ll get back to you.
Until the next time, keep the faith and never give up on God!
LIVESTREAMING
Please take care of yourselves as we continue to fight through this COVID-19 pandemic. St. John is continuing to follow the COVID -19 Safety guidelines put forth by Governor Abbott and Major Nirenberg. This involves social distancing. To stay in compliance with the safety guidelines, St. John will livestream starting Sunday, 29 March 2010 on our Video YouTube channel.
